The Cambridge University Italian Society (CUIS) is happy to host Ars in fieri and its director Ludovico Nolfi for a series of theatre workshops on the theme:  "Staging the Truth of Life"

The workshops are open to everyone, you don't need to be a Cambridge University student to participate.

No previous acting experience is required and we welcome people with limited Italian language knowledge.

The participants will have the opportunity to learn and explore in a cozy and fun environment the theatre of Eduardo De Filippo, one of the most acclaimed playwright of the past century. The sessions will focus on:

  1. practical work, typical in actors' training

  2. the relation among gestures, voice and body

  3. improvisation and themed exercises

  4. the relation with the others - the observation of life's miseries and beauty was fundamental in Eduardo's work.

Each session is unique on its own. You can join at any moment of the series, it is fine to skip sessions.

The workshops are also an opportunity to taste if you would like to take part into our yearly theatre performance.

Workshop sessions are scheduled four times a week between November, 4th and December, 1st.

During the sessions you will learn how to move on stage. Movement is an essential part of the workshops. For this reason, we suggest that you wear a comfortable outfit, warm and anti-slip socks.
